Optimal print support for mobile workers and wireless LAN
Just Print - anywhere, and from any printer
While the use of mobile computers increases radically, printing remains a stationary operation. Roaming Printer Profiles bridge this incongruity. They configure the printer(s) available in each new net for you - automatically and in the background. If you change your location, printer configuration changes automatically - you don't have to do a thing. You are simply always able to print from the next closest printer. In wireless as well as wired LAN.
No printer driver problems
Thanks to patent pending Driver Free Printing technology, printer driver problems have long been a thing of the past. Instead of having to install drivers for all possible printers onto your notebook, just leave them where they belong: there, where the printers are located.
More bandwidth for wireless LAN
Wireless LAN environments support mobile workers perfectly. The available bandwidth in wireless LAN increases each year as the tehcnology develops. Unfortunately, it still can't be compared with land lines because unlike with a land line, the bandwidth per access point must be shared between users.
Printing plays a major role exactly here, because:
- The printers themselves are often connected over wireless LAN, so that the bandwidth is doubly occupied
- Print jobs can take on extreme volume so that a PDF file with a size of a single kilobyte can easily become a print job with several megabytes
- Print jobs are sent completely unchecked across the connection and can quickly degrade application performance
Because application performance has the highest priority, it is possible to use bandwidth control to a limit the amount of bandwidth to be used for print job transmission in a wireless LAN. Extreme compression reduces print job size up to 90% so that even over reduced bandwidth, user friendly print performance is guaranteed.
